Residential Programs
The Rancho El Chorro Outdoor School Residential Program serves 4th through 7th grade students from all Central Coast counties. The curriculum outlines are correlated to the California Science standards and supports instruction in English/Language Arts, History/Social Science and Mathematics. The program offers extensive hands-on experiences that bring textbook learning to life. We offer your school an affordable way to get students into the outdoors to learn about the natural world and study science and ecological concepts.
The program provides a once in a lifetime experience for your students. The 5 day comprehensive program includes nature hikes on different science and environmental topics, evening programs, and an all-day Marine Science adventure along the Central Coast. Students also learn respect, responsibility, teamwork, and cooperation. The program is taught by a highly qualified staff that provides excellent instruction. We also offer 4 day and 3 day sessions for schools opting to select a shorter program.
